First water measurement kit

After the course and the meeting with the Urbane Tilapia Fischfarm, I decided to do the first step into the aquaponic world.

So I bought a water test set and I test try it with the Wien's water.

It was quite easy but you must have some empty table for do it in a really good way.
The next step will be try to manage ammonia nitrites and nitrate, before starting with the project.

Bio-fish farm in center of vienna

At 10 minut from the center of Vienna, on the left side of Danube, there is the oldest biological Austrian farm. It was created by that unfortunately has died around 5 years ago. Here, a group of people have started to create some activities, linked with the philosophy of the place.

I met here Walter Gaidos and Albert Labl and we have spoken a lot about fish and how it grow. They  put inside the main greenhouse more or less 4 big tanks where the grow fish and algaes. The system looks like completly biological. The algeas graw on the water surface and in the base of the tanks and the fish feeds with tham.

In this winter time I saw storions and carps, but in spring will be another time the Tilapia.

Aquaponic Udemy Course

I bought a aquaponic course online on Udemy. 

It's the week of black Fridays, so I paid 65% less.

I saw all course and I can tell that is really complete. The course tell you all about the possible problems, how you can fix it what is the possibility for your system and other tips really helpful for who want build a new system. Lydia forgot only one think, to show how built this system and made it working. The theory it's really important, but what about practice? 

I'm looking forward for find some "how to" for build my A-HW.
